Buffalo Classic USB Controller w/ N64 roms?
-
I got the Buffalo controller last night and had a few minutes to set it up on NES and it works great, wondering if anyone has any experience with it on N64, how to make the buttons or if there is a custom mapping file I can import to map it for me?

First, off the emulation of the n64 is hit or miss. Some games don't play at all. Some do play but are very laggy other play fine, but the motion video (cut scenes are slowed down). It would be weird to play n64 on a SNES controller, for the one you are missing the analog stick and some buttons. I would advise that if you are going to play n64 despite most of the games being unplayable, that you get a USB n64 controller. You could map the buttons on the SNES, but why?

Any idea how Mario Kart and Zelda run? Those are really the only N64 ROMs I am looking for

Both Mario Kart and Zelda run flawlessly. You may want to look into overclocking your Pi if N64 is your thing. It will smooth things out even if just a little.
Also, speaking about controllers, any dual shock or Xbox controller will do. If you don't have access to them, I'm sure you can find a second hand DS3 cheap as chips on eBay. It's a better option than a USB N64 controller, urgh... :)
