Atrract mode and BT keyboard not working
-
I have a BT keyboard that works well with retropie. I am running current versions of both retropie and attractmode. I have my default boot to attract mode and when it does the keyboard does not work but if I drop to terminal and type attract it then works fine. I read that the boot config needs to not use xinit attract but does the newest version not have X installed? I have read the boot.cfg and if I remember correctly it does not have xinit attract in it. So I guess what I need to know is how to put a delay timer in the boot to give the BT time to get initiated and then the keyboard then attract mode to launch.
Thanks

Are you running AM from the experimental menu within RetroPie, or did you build it with a specific image?

I used the motion blue image i checked the boot files and it is listed as just attract to launch, I am wondering if i need a boot delay to give the BT time to initialize. But this was on other images i have tried also

Ok, if you use the RetroPie image and confirm steps then I'm sure someone can help. I wont be able to support the many variants of images that are out there though.
I'll try a new guide using the RetroPie experimental AM version soon. -
Thanks for looking into it, although I don't know if starting over with "clean images" would solve the issue. Because it is this way with all images. I have not tried retropie and attractmode from experimental but i may load it and see if it makes a difference. I thought i figured it out but it did not work tried to configure in bluetooth to load the devices at boot but still does not load. in the meantime i will just have to keep dropping out of attractmode and type attract to get my kb. thanks for the replying back

Yes, give it a go from a version with the standard build and add AM from experimental. I'm sure Buzz integrated it better than I would have done, plus I could do the same to help debug if it still doesnt work.
