PSX on RetroPie

So I'm trying (and failing) to get PSX games showing up on RetroPie. I've tried adding them to a fresh install, I've tried bundling them in with a bunch of SNES and Megadrive and nothing. The others work fine but the PSX never show. If I go into File Manager, I can see them but they're not working. I've tried installing several different versions of the same rom from various sites and none of them work. What am I missing here? All we want to do is play Tekken 3! Help!

@AlexUK Is PSX listed as a system in
/home/pi/.emulationstation/es_systems.cfg? What format do you have the files in? File extension? Do you have the PSX BIOS in the BIOS folder? -
