      Hello All,

I am working on a project for college and am trying to figure out how implement a startup mode for RetroPie that would load everything but remain at a black screen and not accept any input from controllers until a remote ssh command is received, would anyone know how i could achieve this?

My project is essentially that i have set up a main raspberry pi as a dash computer for a car with a basic gui, I have also set up a raspberry pi Zero W with RetroPie and would like to have a master slave relationship, essentially, i want it so a button needs to be pressed on the dash Pi in order to enable the Retro pi in the back seat before it can be used, and if the same button is pushed again the RetroPie will return to this state.

Any input on how i could achieve something like this would be greatly appreciated

My best bet is not to launch EmulationStation until you press that button. Now, how you go about it would require some investigation - I suspect if anyone would have done it, you'd have an answer by now.

          Best of luck.
