      Hi, I would like to know if anyone can assist with this issue.

      I prefer the dispmanx driver because of lower input lag and have no interest in filters, however cocktail format games (e.g. 1942/1943) will not properly rotate to view on my 16:9 screen.

      The only fix is to use the gl driver for proper display rotation, but I would prefer to use that driver for the games that require it, not as my global default.

      I've searched reddit, this forum, retropie documentation, I see nothing pertaining to setting a particular display driver on a per-emulator or per-ROM basis.

      Latest 4.2 build (although this occurred on my 4.1.13 install as well), Rpi 3b, 2.5a Canakit power adapter.

        You haven't specified what emulator you're using, but assuming that it's a RetroArch core, the link below should help. Specifically the part about ROM-Specfic settings.

        https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/RetroArch-Configuration#config-hierarchy

        In your case, you'd want to add:

        video_driver = "gl"

        Also, there are a lot of knowledgeable people here on the forums that are always willing to help. It's bad form to make a global call out to the moderators unless there is an urgent issue to be dealt with.

            @themyst more importantly - do NOT flag groups/people when posting for help - imagine if everyone did that. A bit selfish. I don't need notifications and in fact will ignore people that tag me specifically rather than patiently waiting for an answer.
