OK, Im generally a bit of an idiot so must be missing something obvious but when i look at the release notes for 4.2 i see

      'Input configuration script for Daphne.'

However, i cannot find this or how to use it - i checked the Wiki to see if there was an update in there for daphne but it is still the same instructions on how to edit the input file - i guess this elusive configuration script makes the process easier?

of course, i could be way off target and input configuration script doesn't refer to the joypad anyway but i find that unlikely.

Any help? I have tried to figure this out, and have read the docs but must be missing something, but at least i have tried!

@chubsta said in Daphne controller configuration:

I haven't tested it myself, but I assume the new input configuration script is referring to the mapping of buttons only. Daphne is an emulator that grabs the first joystick event it can find and there is no way to configure it to do otherwise outside of an external mapping solution.

A tip to hopefully make your joystick appear as the first event is to plug into the upper left USB port. If that doesn't work, then try launching Daphne while it is the only USB device plugged in at all. If that also fails, you're left with very few options other than key-mapping your controller to fool the system into thinking it's a keyboard.
