Combining/mixing themes
-
Before I head off down a rabbit-hole and try to do something that is impossible, can someone advise how difficult it is to combine elements from different themes?
My scenario is that over the last few weeks i have tried as many different themes as i can, most of which are truly excellent, but they all have some aspect that i don't really like, nothing is 'perfect' for me'. I am now in the position where I have found one theme that gives me the system select screen that i like but is poor on the game lists, and another that is the opposite, the game select is fantastic but the system list isn't what i want.
I havent looked too deeply into this so far but is it reasonable to think i should be able to combine the two elements i am happy with to create some 'super-theme'? Is the structuring of themes such that the selection of a system makes a pretty 'standard' type of call to load the particular games list up and therefore with the changing of a few paths i would be able to bring up my preferred style of page?
Whilst not the greatest coder in the world i am pretty proficient at reading and understanding other peoples stuff, so just need an idea as to whether this will be a simple process that i should be able to do as i have limited spare time and don't want to spend ages trying to do something that wont ever really work!
Any and all advice would be appreciated, and also, i am trying to do this just for my own system, i wouldn't be trying to pass it off later as my own work.

@chubsta Themes are pretty standard. All you need to do is edit the
nameoftheme.xml
andtheme.xml
file inside each system folder and have it point to the appropriate image / artwork. You can also change colour, transparency, font, position, size etc. It's really easy to do if you are logical and ensure everything points to the correct folder.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
