Hi guys! This is my first post. I am not into the computer world at all, and my friends who are, well they're no help here.

I'll keep it short, I am so ignorant when it comes to computer and programs that I am surprised that I was able to get my retropie up and running with roms at all.

So I was looking for entire libraries to download onto my pie. I found what looked like the best dump but unfortunately it is full of hacks and not many actual games. My friend has the conplete library of nes, snes, sega etc.

He let me borrow his sd card so o can attempt to copy all of his games onto mine. Does anyone have any idea how I can do this? I have the sd card reader so I can put it into my laptop, other than that I am pretty much clueless

Thanks for any advice in advance!

So basically you want to access his SD kart, to copy his games to your SD card?

Since it doesnt work plug and play to read the filesystem of the SD card on your computer the easiest way is to place the card in a Raspberry. To get the files you can use either SFTP like filezilla (a program to install) to access it via network or to connect an USB-stick to move the files from that raspberry to the external device. The roms are located in /home/pi/RetroPi/roms/.
