      Hi guys

What is the best way to dual boot a pi3 with Kodi and Retropei. The latest RetroPie has Kodi from emulation station but I've read there can be problems when trying to load 'addon packages' and the images on multibootpi are all outdated.
I've searched and found references to using bootberry or making Kodi appear as its own system via es_systems.cfg. I could not find a tutorial for the later.
      Whats everyone's thoughts?

I'm using the triple build from http://www.multibootpi.com and set it up to only use RetroPie and OSMC

@EctoOne What versions of Kodi and Retropie are you running? Did you update to the latest?

The easiest and "amateur proof" way will be Berryboot but although it's a dream to backup, restore and move os from card to card and usb, it can prove troublesome, if not nightmare, with some updates and various malfunctions due to its nature of doing things
At the moment a nice alternative could be PiNN. It works like Noobs, it's a kinda fork of it, and supports Retropie, unlike Noobs.

I'm using the quadboot version from oct 2016. I have retropie/librelec kodi/rasplex/pixel. Retropie and Kodi can be updated to latest versions, but shortcuts in emulationstation will break if updated, so back up the es_systems.cfg along with the themes folder for the icons. It'll be at least an hour to update retropie to 4.2.

There is no problems with addons in RetroPie's Kodi, unless they are outdated, it exactly the same as LibreELEC and OSMC.

Probably using PINN (a slightly modified NOOBS with CEC and upgradable bootloader), since it's compatible with both Retropie and LibreElec / OSMC.

@FluffySpikes im on the latest version of RetroPie and on kodi 16. I tried 17 but I didn't liked it, so I reinstalled a backup. The missing controller support is not a problem for me, since I prefer to use my tablet to control Kodi.
