Attempt to install Retropie onto Lubuntu 16.04 ARM fails at libsdl2 (no such file)
-
Hi everyone,
I am fiddling with Lubuntu ARM on my Raspberry Pi 2 and I would like to install Retropie through the setup script bit at
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup
but the script does not work:- It does not propose a choice between Binary and Software but only Basic Install and other options that seem to make sense only after the basic install.
- The Basic install fails with an error about libsdl2 (no such file).
How can I install Retropie on Ubuntu ARM?

@Brizio Please do not post a support request without first reading and following the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
Cannot advise without the error message etc. Logs are in
RetroPie-Setup/logs
- post a full build/install log on a pastebin site please.Note that you are recommended to use RetroPie on Raspbian for the RPI (as it's the main OS and all development/testing for RPI happens on Raspbian).
There are no binaries provided for RPI on Ubuntu.

I have just tested in a chroot, and can see the problem. Probably broke due to last os support refactoring. Will sort (still recommend Raspbian though).

Please update retropie-setup and try again.
