Hi, maybe the wrong forum as the retropie is for turning your raspberry pi into a game console, but is it also possible to turn your raspberry pi into a (bluetooth) game controller? (That you possibly use as a controller for another raspberry pi or another game console)

That seems like a very difficult and expensive project, I don't even think that would be possible, you would need a battery pack if you want it to be portable, and you would need lots of soldering to the GPIO pins, and with the soldering you would also need a lot of software and coding, it seems really unjustified to go through all that pain for a Bluetooth controller, I would just recommend getting a standalone Bluetooth controller off of eBay.
        Cheers!

Thanks for your answer. I dont need it to be portable and why would i need the pins, you think? I just want keyboards pressed to emulate gamepad buttons.

I will buy a controller eventually but i want to use this for testing.

@baref007 If you want a DIY solution, you can try with Arduino instead of a Raspberry Pi. I'm working on this solution to play Fofix.

@Febbweiss cool, that's possible too. I have an arduino uno with an hc-05 module, can it be done? How did you do it? The hc-05 is a serial port emulator so i could some basic input from the arduino to a pc/mac but how do i get the input to an android or something? Or do i need a differnt module?

@baref007 I have same hardware. I'm working on a Python script to emulate keyboard inputs. I have some troubles with bluetooth (Pi3 connection) but they're quiet close to be solved. Let's keep in touch...
