Wondering if it is possible to play Gba games using local co-op multiplayer

So I have a question regarding if it is possible in Retropie to play gba games using local co-op multiplayer.
I have a Pi 3 model B set up running Retropie version 4.2 if that is important at all.
Thank you, I hope my question isn't too stupid, I fairly new to this community.

@creeperleeper closest you'd get is probably netplay. I don't know if the com link stuff is emulated

Sadly it isn't, which, as you say, would limit the user to GBA games over netplay that have modes designed to be passed from player to player like the most excellent 'Advance Wars' series or various board game adaptations. Com link support is available for GameBoy and GameBoy Color games in same room and netplay scenarios with lr-tgbdual.
