Ok, I need to update this. My 3-y/o son loves playing "Donald Duck's Alphabet Chase" on DosBox. It's not that much of a game, but he just needs to find the respective letters on the keyboard, when prompted, to get Donald to catch the letter on screen.

Thought I'd share. There's no "lose state", Donald will just get frustrated if he can't catch the letter on time, but it's extremely lenient.

Anyone know of any similar toddler-friendly keyboard-driven alphabet or numbers games?

I think I've found the perfect expression I was looking for to describe the Dora the Explorer (Gameboy Advance) games!

        There's no "lose state".

Let me take the opportunity that this spammer dug up this thread and share an interesting game I've been playing with my little one:

              Ecco Jr, for Mega Drive.

There are tons of fun games for toddlers on scummvm, like Blue's Clue's and the likes.
Rather than using a mouse, i'd use a Wii remote.

@mattrixk Something I'd reccommend are the NDS Lego games, cause they're not just point and shoot games, but sometimes involve some simple problem solving. I'm enjoying playing Lego Star Wars and Lego Harry Potter.
