      I searched and couldn't find this answer. The wiki describes the option to disable joystick input and games that use spinner control (Tempest) so you don't accidently bump the joystick and mess up. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to disable the joysticks on tempest and arkanoid.

        @soonerdoc I wrote the wiki. Basically, you want to go into the MAME GUI menu and edit controls for THIS GAME. Edit the controls that affect movement. They double the action of the spinner. You can map them to keys you cannot type, or hit enter and then escape out so they are set to none. That way, the only way to control that input is with the analog (spinner) controller.
