Re: lr-pcsx-rearmed freezes after hitting restart

Hi all. I have the problem described in this thread from a few months ago. It started out of nowhere, after using my RetroPie for a solid week to emulate PSX games without issues.

The problem happens regardless of whether I use the hotkey (Select+X) or choose Restart from the RetroArch menu while playing. It happens on all PSX games.

Does anybody have any tips for what to check?

@boredgamelad should be fixed now: https://github.com/libretro/pcsx_rearmed/commit/726da67c8bd8163a9b5a67f36c7e715f021df7df

you may have to update lr-pcsx from source.

@dankcushions Thanks for the link--updating from source is one of the first things I tried, and that fix looks like it's a few months old--I just did a fresh install of everything a week ago as I've only had the Pi for that long.

Maybe I'll just avoid resetting the emulator for now and wipe the card later.

@boredgamelad note that the current retropie image/binary updates won't neccesarily include that fix, but yeah from source definitely will. i think if you still get the issue after a source update it might be worth logging an issue here: https://github.com/libretro/pcsx_rearmed/issues

i'll try and recreate it soon also!
