Hello, new to RetroPie, I've able to get my hands on different bios for Dreamcast but can't get it to play. I've done the renaming the file to "dc_flash.bin" multiple times.

I recently found out about the MD5 checksum, and it has to be 74e3f69c2bb92bc1fc5d9a53dcf6ffe2, which i have not been able to locate.

Can we change the checksum value?
Is there something I'm doing wrong?

@antsmalls12345 The checksum is calculated based on the contents of the file. If the BIOS you have has a different checksum then that means the contents are different from the required file. It's not a matter of changing the checksum, it's a matter of obtaining a file that generates the correct checksum.
