      First off, I want to thank you all for helping me install and setup Joystick Selector, it's helped quite a bit.
      (Though is there a way to set the system to US keyboards, so I can just hit tilde instead of having to type an ascii command for it?)

      However, I'm still having very.. very minor controller issues.
      #1. I purchased the 8BitDo NES30 PRO and FC30 PRO edition controllers.
      Neither are working correctly, they are recognized, and I can navigate the primary menu... but in wired and in wireless mode.. neither controller is being recognized as Player 1.. even with Joystick Selector designating them as player 1.

      #2. Switch Pro Controllers are having frequent loss of connection.
      My roommate and I decided to run a gambit of Arcade and SNES games to try out the various controllers I own on my RetroPie. We couldn't finish 1 arcade level of Sunset Riders with the Switch Pro controllers since they kept losing connection over, and over.. we even tried plugging them in to power them (since they don't send data over the wire... GJ Nintendo), and still they would repeatedly lose connection to the system.

      I am curious if this is a common problem, I was sitting no more then 3 ft from the pie, roommate 4.

      So far, the most compliant and reliable controller are my PS4 via USB cord.

        @Jiryn

        is there a way to set the system to US keyboards

        You can set your keyboard layout to US in the raspi-config internationalization options, located in the RetroPie menu of Emulation Station.

          Thank you so much!
          I really do need to explore the options more!

            @Jiryn Yeah, it's a Pi setting, not a RetroPie one. have a look in all the options, it's always something I do no matter what I get, be it a phone, TV or any other piece of tech.

              So, any clue why those things are happening?
              The 8bitDo not being correctly usable, and the Switch pro regularly losing connection.
