      Pi Zero 1.3
      Retropie 4.1
      2A 5v power supply

Hello everybody! I have built several Retropie Cart systems now, and have run into a new problem. I am using a microUSB three-port hub/SD card reader. After I have put RP 4.1 on the system it boots fine...

1.) When I plug a flash drive with ROMs into it, it will only pull so many of them off, even if left for several hours.
2.) The system will only detect a USB controller if it's plugged into one specific port of the hub.

I know two issues in the same post is not ideal, but I thought they may be connected. Thank you for your help!

@sldout2Jesus i assume you are using a pi zero? If so you probably either arent providing enough power to the pi to fully power the hub or you need to tap into the power splitting it to both the pi and the hub.

Yes, it is a pi zero. I was under the impression that 2amp would be more than sufficient to power a USB hub.

            1. Make sure the roms have the correct file extensions
            2. The hub could defenitely be a reason for this.
You could try a hub with a own power supply...
