      Hello,

      pi 4
Retropie as of yesterday from the pi installer
I powered the pi on with the power button switch.
Used the script from git to install.
      No errors.
I ran jstest /dev/input/js0, wired in a button, tried p1 and p2, tried the button at different positions nothing will register.

If you need any more information please let me know. Not sure what else I can do.

Could this be the kernel as referenced in previous posts?

If it isn't too much of an ask, could someone tell me exactly what is needed? My son is all over me to get this thing running and I've never done a kernel rollback.

It could be a kernel issue, the previous post also has a link to an older RaspiOS image which you can use. Once installed, don't upgrade the kernel and see if the inputs are working.
