      Hi there,

I am using a Controlblock (updated last week so should be latest versions) and a original SNES and NES Controller.
SNES controller works just fine but when I switch to NES Controller the button mapping for the NES Controller is messed up.

I checked the values with jstest and found that NES A is B and NES B corresponds to SNES Y.
I could avoid that by remapping the controlls in Emulationstation. But is there any way where I could avoid this constant remapping?

      Thanks for your help!

@jeddo Have you tried another NES controller? It could be that the controller itself is faulty. I have the same setup as you and I find no problem with the ControlBlock or its driver or Retropie .

@ortsac yes I tried 2 different controller, both with the same result.

This is strange, so you are switching between SNES and NES, too, but you dont need to remap the buttons?

@jeddo I do switch between the two controllers but only when the console is switched off. I do not hot switch since the controllers have internal active decoder circuits that require a different initialization to start.

@ortsac so I tried switching with switched off console, same result. Checked the connection three times now. Should be working but it is not.

Maybe the controllers are not working properly. I cleaned them 1 month ago and I noticed that the rubber pads are not the best. There are stripes on the connection pad. I tried to take a picture of that.

I also measured the resistance of these, and it is >60 Ohms. Should be way lower than that right?
