Retroflag SUPERPi-CASE-J/U

@thedatacereal
It's a really nice case. I'm considering it myself.
-
@mediamogul Of all the cases they have made and the fact they have listened to the community after each, I am investing for all of the imaginary friends I have over and hurricane season at work when we are stuck indoors restoring power to the city.
Part of it is also that as much work as you all have put into the project and I have taught myself with linux ( including trying Slackware as my first intro many years ago) I feel as if Retropie deserves a quality home. Flirc is awesome but doesn't give the aesthetic WOW factor that the effort has accumulated.

Couldn't resist. Had to order one and a new pi B+. Ill just have to put a TV in another room of my house and have one in each room.

@rion because I only have the one pi and as much as I want the snes case cant justify spending the money on a new case so soon after buying the nes one

Is there any way to buy this case outside of Amazon? Or is this Amazon exclusive?
I want to pay via PayPal and Amazon does not accept PP. -

It looks like Retroflag is exclusively using Amazon. There's always eBay. The prices and package options seem to be the same, but shipping might be a deal-breaker.

Oh come on! Few months ago I pre-ordered the kintaro super Ursus and got it last month and now there is an event better super famicom case with front USB.
-
mighty tempted to buy one of these i do like that they kept 2 of the pis onboard usb ports accessable as i use a pi drive and had to mod in a rear usb port to keep the cables tidy that being said still happy with my nespi case might purchace on my next payday make myself a collection of mini's
personally im glad they did a jap/eu model not trying insulting you yanks but ive always found the us model to be absolutly hideous :P
-
i would love to get one, but i dont want the controller. they should have one with just the case to make the price point a little lower.
dont want something i will not use.

I want to pay via PayPal and Amazon does not accept PP.I'm like you, prefer to use PayPal, FYI, it's available via eBay, I ordered one a couple of days ago, should arrive early next week.
Unfortunately, though I don't think it'll fit my existing 3b+ with the dual fan/heatsink so might have to swap that out.
-
Mine is on the way... it should arrive later today! :)

Just found out about this. Nice, so now I have to figure out if I want to buy a case like this, butcher my little borther's PSone that he doesn't want any more, or build something out of LEGO. decisions, decisions, decisions.

I created a video review of the SuperPi Case in Dec. (Unbox, Assembly, install shutdown script, test a few games, etc.) It's a pretty awesome case if you prefer the SNES style controllers!
-
@ExarKunIv They do have one without any controllers.

I love these cases. I have a Superpi (SNES) case for my RPi 3b+ and a Nespi Case+ for my daughter's RPi 1b+. They have made shutting down the systems so much simpler and they have made my retropie setup look so much cleaner and organized. I am seriously considering buying the MegaPi (MegaDrive) case and setting it up with 8bitdo M30 (six button Sega Genesis) controllers.
MegaPi:

@jabberwock101 yes they do
i did come across that a few weeks ago. -
i have a megapi case and can definitly reccomend it somthing to keep in mind before you splash out cash for a setup with one is when it comes to cooling the pi is mounted upside down in the case and unless you have a really low profile heatsink trying to fit a fan isnt possible as it will hit the heatsink when fitting....my friend found that one out the hard way :P
personally i think you can get away without a fan as my setup does not have one and ive yet to recieve any thermal throttling/heat warnings and i use my system for all sorts of things and it certanly didnt complain when it was compiling code for almost 2 hours non stop
