———————————————————————————————————Hello, I have after the update to Retropie 4.7.1. the problem that the ControlBlock is no longer recognized by the emulation station!
I have also tried to rebuild with the current Retropie pre-build image and have the same problem, the ControlBlock is no longer recognized.
The control block is now about 10 months old and has worked properly until the update!
Would be great if someone has a solution for me so I get the whole thing working again.

I'm a bit confused, the last image RetroPie image is 4.7.1, and between the 4.7 and 4.7.1 versions there's only 1 change to EmulationStation, which is not related to the input handling.
Did you try re-installing the ControlBlock driver after the upgrade ?
-
@mitu Hi Mitu, yes I uninstalled the driver via retropie setup after the update and then reinstalled it, that didn't help.
After that I took a new SD card and reinstalled the 4.7.1. image and so the ControlBlock is not recognized (SPI I have enabled) what I find but strange that the switch on via the ControlBlock works but switch off does not work!I started jstest and it looks like the ControlBlock is not recognized by the system (see screenshot) what I do not understand before the update he worked fine.

@paradoxx The
jstest
command is incorrect, you forgot to add a space after the command name and before the parameter:jstest /dev/input/js0
I'm not sure how to debug the controlblock service, maybe @petrockblog knows more. You can also run
cat /proc/bus/input/devices
to see which input devices are present in the system.
How did you upgrade from 4.7 to 4.7.1 ? The RetroPie script supports only update to the latest version. -
@mitu Hi Mitu, I wanted to report again that my Retropie including the ControlBlock is working fine again :)
What was the problem I do not know yet? I have downloaded and installed the current image again on the weekend and had the same error that the ControlBlock was not recognized.
Then I asked a friend with what he has set up his Retropie and he had also made it with the 4.7.1 image that he had downloaded in July, this image of him I have then also taken and so my ControlBlock is also recognized again. This is indeed strange because it is the same what I had now currently loaded but I question the now no longer but happy that it works again :)Greetings Paradoxx
