I am trying to build a RetroPie system inside a original NES case and want the original power button, power light, and controller ports to be functional. I bought the Control Block which promises to help me do this, but I am having trouble finding specific instructions on how to wire up the original case to the Control Block. I am a bit of a beginner when it comes to wiring. Please help!! :)

Here is a old forum posting of my Pitendo. I have removed the wiring and have started using nes30 pro bluetooth controllers but I did love having the original controllers running.
Off of the power switch the red and brown wires connect up to the button pins on the control block. You will also have to add a 270 ohm 1/2watt resistor to the negative of the led before connecting it to the control block.

And a close up of the control block (v1) wiring. Hope this helps

          Great project!

Just a heads-up: Revision 1.1 and greater come with a resistor on the ControlBlock for the LED.

@ayrasci good luck! Follow the video on the controlblock page very closely.

@petrockblog awesome! I didn't know that was added. Is the resistor also on the powerblock?

Yes, revisions 1.1 and upwards also have that resistor.
