I've put in hours and hours on trying to set up 2 controlblocks for 4 joysticks with buttons. First I downloaded the drivers from retropie setup. When that was done in enabled the drivers. Is that a correct step? Next I started the pie without the controlblocks stacked so I could turn off the power switch option in the controlblockconfig and give a "true" to the second block. Did a shutdown. Also, I do have pins 11 and 12 bent and not touching on the bottom control block. When I start up no game pads are detected. I've had luck getting 2 player working with one block but only with a start up button. It seems any success I have is only with a start up button. If I power from the pie with the 2 control blocks stacked on top...nothing is detected. Other than bending the pins, do I need to do anything physically to either blocks. I've matched my controlblockconfig to the 4 player setup. Please...any help is appreciated. Any question please ask.

You need to physically set the values of the the solder jumpers of the two ControlBlocks to different values: While you can keep the already set values for the first ControlBlock (SJ1=0, SJ2=0), you can, e.g., set SJ1 of the second ControlBlock to 1. You need to use a solder iron for that. This might be described more clearly in the README at https://github.com/petrockblog/ControlBlockService2#4-player-extension.

@petrockblog awesome. Thanks. Any chance you have a pic or diagram of what needs to be soldered? I don't want to do this far and screw up. Thanks.

I have refined the description in the README at Github, I have also added some more images. Hope that helps!

@petrockblog one last question. When i look at SJ1..I see some solder and a pad. I imagine if I removed the solder there would be 3 pads on SJ1. Which 2 pads need to be soldered? The two on the right nearest to the 1?

You are right, the two pads that are nearest to the 1 must be soldered.
