Space Oddity theme

Thanks a lot for the feedback.
i think it's best to release a 4:3 version of it, with adjusted backgrounds -
@lipebello Agreed. There is some layout adjustments necessary in addition to the backgrounds. In fact, I could live with the distortion if the text fields were not cropped and crammed, so I would suggest that layout concerns are more important.
-
So I tried it out on a 4x3 theme, and while it works and stuff shows up, the consoles look squashed. I guess you'd have to make a separate one where the console images are all set at the right sizes. Even so, it's a pretty cool theme.
Another question, ever think about making the images for the launching console images? I'd love to have a set.
-
@lipebello This is a work of art mate. I dig the logos and I'm really curious how you made the console artwork. Are they just photos that you've used photoshop filters on? Or did you trace them? Or make them from scratch? Whatever you've done, they look awesome!
-
@mattrixk Thanks! it's the consoles that i drew for retrorama, i converted the linework in vector and made 3 layers, increasing the line thickness and opacity
-
@lipebello I love this theme. One of my favorites now. Would you by chance be interested in making launching images for this theme?
-
@allahandro @lipebello yeah, that would be cool!
-
Is there going to be a 4:3 version?
Amazing theme, btw. Congrats!!

I'd love to know this too. Probably the best theme to use on a CRT.
-
I went ahead and converted the theme to a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Download here: http://rtid.co.uk/SpaceOddity43.zipThere's also a version for CRT's, which makes the font more readable at 240p/480i
Download here: http://rtid.co.uk/SpaceOddity240.zipI hope the author doesn't mind me doing this.

@chizzer Hey, good job! :D
I've tested and the backgrounds and everything look fine.
One thing I found is this the bottom left corner in the RetroPie SettingsThere's some overlapping texts and the scroll gets cut. That's the only thing I've found :)
Also, I don't think @lipebello would mine. See his license. It's very permissive.
And maybe he also would like to create repos for your tweaked themes, so they can be available via the RetroPie Setup.

@hiulit All fixed!

Great Theme. Well done!
How would i go about downloading or finding the .zip for the file. Not the 4:3 for me.?
-
@chizzer , thanks a lot! i've wanted to fix some things on this theme, but i have so many things to finish and so little time... i've noticed that i mispelled amstrad cpc. i'll fix it and update it so you can fix in your version.

Can't seem to download either this or Retrorama on Retropie anymore. Is there something wrong or an issue on my end?
-
@ilifadeili The repository for the theme is not available anymore, but the Retrorama version should be installable. What's the error you're getting ? Make sure you have the latest version of the RetroPie-setup script before trying to install Retrorama.

Same situation as with Retrorama, here is @lipebello 's most recent post on youtube:
Wanna say sorry to all that tried to download it, but after some personal attacks, i've decided to delete my github account and leave the scene. I appreciate all the kind words and comments, but it's very hard to even want to do something when a lot of people keeps attacking you when you everytime you ask a seller to stop erasing my name from my drawings.
Right now, i don't feel like making anything, because i will always end up like the bad hater who are jealous of the success of people who contributes so much with the community by providing them SD cards with everything configured. It's kind of a buzzkill...
Best wishes to all of you, you you guys need any help with retropie or retroarch, feel free to contact me.Posted in the comments of the Retrorama comic theme v1.9 youtube video:
