        @sammyboy

        There's actually plenty of options for Super GameBoy emulation in general. Unfortunately, there just doesn't seem to be any for the Pi. I've used KiGB in the past and I remember it being pretty good. A possible option might be to run the DOS port through DOSBox. I don't know how performance would be, but it's worth a shot.

            @mediamogul Thanks for the reply but I have a question would it be better to get the Linux version or DOS one?

              @sammyboy You need the DOS version if you want to follow @mediamogul's suggestion. The linux version will probably not run on the Pi, because it's compiled for a different CPU.

                Ha! very true, yet easier to make sense of in the long run.

                I don't believe the Linux version will run on the Pi. It appears to be x86 only.

                  @mitu and @mediamogul thank you so much for your replies. I tried to get it working on DOSBox but it didn't even boot to the ROM selection menu but strangely enough people have got it working on DOSBox before (DOSBox v. 0.70)

                  EDIT : There is some good news and that's that KiGB is 32bit so the Linux version should be able to run on Raspbian and thus RetroPie. However in order to test this someone will have to tell me how to launch it on Raspbian because the executable file has a missing file extension (its called 'kigb')

                    @mediamogul since KiGB is 32bit do you think I can get it to work on Raspbian?

                      No, it can't run on Raspbian, as @mediamogul said the executable is for the x86 CPUs (PCs), but the Raspberry PI has an ARM CPU, they're incompatible.
