Fan submitted themes built in

My idea: have a online page where you can peruse themes and choose to download them or not. People would upload there themes from there pc and they would show up on this page.
-
@shadow There is already a list of available themes page - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Themes/ (which is editable) and you can choose to install one of the themes from the RetroPie-Setup menu.
In order for the theme to be included by default in RetroPie, a PR should be submitted to the RetroPie-Setup github page and it will be included, but usually authors submit it first in the forums for beta-testing and feedback. -
I know about the built in theme down loader, but I was suggesting to clean it up and have maybe a web page inside retropie itself.
-
@shadow That's a neat idea, to have a preview option in the list before downloading a theme.
-
Isn't there a theme gallery in retropie? I believe I used it once, not sure though if it showed all themes.
-
@ectoone It's th themes page I mentioned - it seems somehow up to date, people gratiously edit the wiki page when new themes are added.
-
@mitu I was actually meaning that there is a gallery build in the retropie script though. I really think that I used it someday and it showed me some theme previews on my TV. I'm not at home, so I can't check it.
-
I checked and there is indeed a gallery preview option in the ES Themes package, it can be installed with the Download Theme Gallery , @EctoOne was right. Didn't use it before, but it looks quite handy.
-
@mitu I did not know that.
