Can you reuse the premades seen on FB etc?
-
Long story short, my mother bought one of those 400 or 600 " classic" games off Facebook( she did not know any better)
Not seen it yet, but I'm assuming it's a Rasberry pi of some sort. Of course no idea how it's set up( she's going to bring it over in the next couple weeks)
Is it feasable to redo it with a new SD card the proper way? I know it's hard to answer without any info. Thoughts are appreciated.

@ruthless4u Just wipe the SD card, add a fresh official Retropie image, add themes, roms, bells & whistles, etc.

Not even sure it's based on pi
Called a Super mini sf Classic entertainment system but not the official Nintendo version. From what she told me and what I read it's pretty bad.
Hope to salvage something from it lol.

@ruthless4u cant really save anything from that pile of junk. Even though the controllers have the classic controller plug it does not work on the classics or the wii as its some kind of weird usb. I can get a pc to ding when i wired it up but cant get it to do anything beyond that. This thing really is a sad sack of puppy poo. Better off getting an nes classic when they come out next month, a snes classic available now or a raspberry pi.

@ruthless4u also the snes classic and nes classics are easy to mod to add more games.
-
@ruthless4u Looks like it is one of these
It's definitely not a Raspberry Pi.
AFAIK there is no way to mod / hack this. -
they make nes classic clones too that have 500 or 600 games. They are all piles of crap

Thanks guys, was hoping to wipe it and put some stuff on I remember her liking.
Looks like I'm going to buying 2 pis instead of 1 lol.

@ruthless4u You may be able to use the controllers through the GPIO, but it would be quite a bit of effort considering how much USB controllers cost, and you might be able to use the reuse the case if you are handy with a dremel tool, but other than that, just start again with a PI.
