Instead of making a new repo for every RP tool I write, I've renamed the existing one. The eXoDOS importer is now located at https://github.com/sduensin/retropie-tools

@sduensin so i have a few issues. First, it requires me to have all 5100 gzmes unzipped and on the drive. It started with the last game zztcity and went down to the next game. It continues as long as you have the game it wants next. If i dont have the game that it wants next it stops. Is there a way to get it to do only the games i want? I dont want to have to have a second hard drive hooked up to my pi to hold all 5100+ games

What am i supposed to put in the "ABOUT" folders?

Also when it is creating the gamelist.xml it is not naming the games with proper names.

Why is the entire project in a single zip file?

Sent from 20,000 leagues under the sea.

Excellent work on this. The only issue I had was that the script was failing out at line 73 because /home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists/pc didn't exist yet for me because I didn't have anything else installed yet.

There's a few things that would be nice. Not sure why everything's switched to uppercase but it also switches the + Dosbox.sh script which breaks anything expecting the original file name (including these imports). Detecting if a game has already been imported and skipping it if it's there (optionally) would be a nice feature too.

@edmaul69 If you don't have the folder for the game in the !DOS directory, the script skips it.

@hex It's not. Thats just how [Removed] chose to serve it up. It's available in lots of other places as a torrent, however I tend to use [Removed] as my homebase.

Referring to ROM sites is against the forum rules.

@zerojay hiya, sorry to bring up such an old post, i am desperate for some help getting the .sh files in pc ports menu to play now the script has run its course fully (yes the metadata shows and everything is bang on the right place, yet running the games from menu kicks back to menu screen. You mention here about a part of the script capitalising the +dosbox.sh script which stops anything running - i think this is my problem, could you explain a fix for this pretty please with sugar on top? thanks bud.
