As the title says, are multi level Carousels a possibility?

I have just added a few more systems to my Retropie setup and realized i'm now up to more than 30 systems.

Due to the number of systems the carousel is starting to get a bit out of hand. Is there any scope for having a multi tiered carousel so i could have, for example, 'Sega' & 'Nintendo' on the top layer of the carousel and selecting each of them would take me to lower tier carousel showing just the systems from that brand.

Just an Idea and wanted to know if it would be feasible in the future.

Not possible at the moment. Although you could have folders within a system, they are not treated as systems and they don't get the same display settings (i.e. separate logo, games count, etc.).

FYI, I just put a feature request on the EmulationStation Github for something very similar:

@battaglia01 The main/original ES repo has not been active for a few years, I doubt someone will respond there to the issue.

Is there another repo for it?
