... and that was an easy fix =). I had the code for it commented out so it was quick to update. Just get the latest from es-themes and that should do the trick. Thanks again for you help @Seymour-Butz and glad you are liking the theme.

I was wondering what could be done to to fix this:

          https://imgur.com/a/zuGWv

The video is extending outside the box and overlapping the artwork.

I'm running the videos in the OMX (hardware accelerated) player otherwise my Pi3 overheats like crazy.

@goyney Unfortunately, the trade off when using OMX is that nothing can be layered on top of the video. The only way to correct would be to disable OMX.

@goyney OMX player doesn't support z-indexing which CRT relies on in order to overlay the boxart on top of the video.

I have had success with re-encoding my videos using handbrake to 320x240 resolution / 30FPS at a constant quality of 30. Those settings have allowed me to turn off OMX player so z-indexing works.

Outside of that an alternative is trying a theme that doesn't rely on z-indexing so you can use OMX player without issue. I have another theme called Art Book that works well for that (https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/11728/theme-art-book) and I know there are others too.

If I use the auto scraper it will work right?

Is there any reason why the video snaps are in front of my game art?

@dover19 It could be because you are using OMX to run the video? I might be wrong, but it's called something like that in the options.

That appears to be it. Unfortunately using the regular player is just horrible.

I loved this theme. I am planning on make a fork just to change some preferences, like not force uppercase. Congrats and thank you
