[AMIGA] Any MechForce players here?

I'd like to see others' mech designs, and I'd also like to see a list of the STOCK mechs in the game. The ADFs I got for this game have a TON of custom crap mechs blowing up the mech inventory, and the lame ones just ruin the game when the computer randomly picks them as opponents. There is one with a medium laser and NINE flamers. It doesn't even have any extra heatsinks. I deleted that one, but I'd like to know which ones are stock so I don't accidentally wipe a legit mech out.

I know this is offtopic but I have been playing Battletech which was released a couple of months ago which is pretty fun.
It is a good mech turn based strategy game like MechForce :)

A great many mecha games are based on FASA Battletech, as was MechForce. However, MechForce used the 'Solaris' rules where each and every second of cooling, movement and weapon recycle were tracked. This was hell to play tabletop, but computerizing it changed the game completely. MechForce is the best implementation of this rule set to date.

I've played this to death since I was stuck with Amiga when everybody else moved on to Pentiums and other games bored me. But, this was nearly 20 years ago :)
Sometimes I think of jumping in again, maybe one day... -
There was a Windows port somewhere that actually allowed you to import Amiga mechs and warrior characters, but was essentially the same game. Running it on Amiberry on the pi is so much faster, and you have the save state when things go horribly wrong. Those autocannon 20 hits to the cockpit can really suck... :P

One thing I've discovered since getting into this again is that there is such a thing as TOO MUCH tonnage on your team, especially trying to survive the Hard and Suicidal difficulties. If you have 800 tons of mechs, the enemy is going to have even more, and while efficient mech designs and play strategies can defeat them, they are likely to unload enough ordinance focus fired onto a single mech of yours that the engine explodes or the pilot is killed before even getting a chance to surrender, eject, eject ammo, etc. Keeping your team weight low can prevent the one-round kills because the enemy won't have enough firepower to wipe one mech out before you can do anything about it.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
