          @ruckage those flash carts are slick, shoulda held out for one of those. Next time.

          @edmaul69 nice work with the AGB! Doing an AGB-101 is still on my list to do. I really like the rechargable battery.

            @edmaul69 Really really nice.

            How's the Omega working out? Are the load times decent?

              Looks great. Is a battery pack pretty much a necessity with the AGS-101 screen -I imagine it uses a lot more power than the stock screen.
              I hadn't heard of the EZ-flash omega. I already have the EZ flash IV (actually 2 versions of it - the micro SD version and the old mini SD version) but I'm tempted to get an Omega now if only for the included half height shell as it would fit flush in my DS Lite.

                @obsidianspider load times are way better than my m3 perfect.

                @ruckage it does have better battery life than regular batteries. It is also better at controlling the gba’s led light. With aa batteries the red and green led’s would flicker red green a lot. Or it would be red while the my m3 perfect card was loading. As far as the ez flash omega it is a little wonky with trying to get folders to show up with a lot of the roms. All the gbc games workedin a gameboy color folder but all the gb and gba games had issues that the folder wont show up with a lot of the roms so i put my gb and gba roms directly on the card. I would like to have all of the roms when i get a bigger card because each folder has a 512 file limit and trying to get all the roms to play nice with the folder structure will be a lot of work.

                  I have quite a bit of loose Gameboy carts. A while ago I seen a video on making custom cases for them (and TG16) using old tape cassette cases. Long story short, last time I was at my local game trading spots, I swooped up on a few free cassettes laying around and thought I’d give it a try. I’m quite impressed on how it turned out. Took 5 minutes resizing image template in Photoshop, a pair of scissors and some flush cutters.

                    @celly Ahh … that reminds me of my 8-bit home computer times. I had quite a collection of Commodore 64 tapes. *sigh* I gave them all away to a relative in Eastern Germany after the reunification.

                      Does the cartridge just slide around in there or did you do something inside of the case?

                        This 8" 4:3 aspect ratio screen was pretty inexpensive from AliExpress. I don't know what I'm going to make with it yet, but it's not common to see screens that aren't 16:9 anymore.

                            @LiveFastCyYoung right now the cart has play in it but I will buy some 3M adhesive felt and put a small piece inside to keep the cart in place.

                                @Clyde Yeah, if I ever find a dead mac I am so doing this!
                                Currently finishing my Commodore 314 (pi inside c64) and next I will be making PI99/3B (Pi inside TI99/4A).

                                It is slow, but I love giving old, dead hardware a new life. The mods I am making are 100% reversable, I am using 3d printed brackets to make everything fit inside the original case.

                                      @celly There was one point back in the heydey of the Amiga and Mac where the Amiga could emulate the top of the line Mac (I think that model was the "quadra" or something similar) and get more performance than the real machine. If you were getting support from Mac enthusiasts and let it slip you were emulating on an Amiga, they got HYPER pissed. Apparently you don't defile the purists' turf. LOL...

                                        While not retro per se, I think you may appreciate the custom console cabinet I built with my dad. It was mainly made out of 3/4" plywood over the course of a few weekend, then I had to wait a month for the paint to cure. Last night after work I finally loaded it up and there's a minimal rats' nest of wires considering everything that is going on. Now I just need more consoles. ;)

                                          I ordered myself an Odroid-Go for my birthday and had to wait until the actual day (which was today), to open it. My son and I put it together in about 5 minutes and flashing the sd card and transfering roms was simple. I’m really enjoying this and can’t wait to case mod it a bit.
