Might I suggest you add Alien vs Predator and Armored Warriors (both for FinalBurn Alpha) to that list? They are 2 of my favourites.

Chrono Trigger for SNES is awesome. I spend a lot of time playing OPENTTD. I love this game.

I'm going to have to get that. I grew up with Bare Knuckle 3 on Mega Drive. I loved it, even though all the text was in a language I couldn't read.

Another good arcade beat 'em up is Metamorphic Force by Konami. Not sure if it runs on the Pi though. Oh, and try the Knights of Valour games by IGS too.

@addyb I'd stick with the arcade versions of any of those if they had one, apart from Turtles in Time, I think the SNES version is better for that one :)

I might do. I just prefer having limited continues on the console ports. Makes me play them properly.

@addyb Ah yes I get you. Pirates of Dark Water on SNES might be worth trying too in that case if you are sticking to console beat 'em ups. Quite good.

Decided to play final fight 2 as I bypassed that originally. I'm glad I did. It's bland as hell.

It really is, its only saving grace was the co op. It's a pity Final Fight wasn't released a bit later than it was on SNES, a 16 or 24 meg cart would have made a better arcade port than we ended up with.

Is final fight 3 better? If not I'll move onto the next on the list which is knights of the round.

@addyb Yep FF3 is better for sure and I agree having Guy back helps. They should have stuck with the original 3 characters if you ask me, I don't think I liked any of the new ones in FF2 or FF3.

I finished FF3 last night. Yep I enjoyed it. I liked the super move additions. They have seriously nerfed andore though. I used to hate facing them on FF but here they are cake.

Started legend of the mystical ninja on snes last night. I used to love that game. Today I'll carry on with my beat em ups and maybe get some shmups in.

I must have had uber skills when I was younger as I remember getting quite far on batman returns and Battle toads. Not today when I'm pushing 40 lol. Barely got past the 1st stage on toads.

I'd like to see how good Netplay is on the Pi.
