PS1 Silent Hill 1 SRM files - need help!
-
Okay, first off, I have the official CD of the PS1 Silent Hill game. Found it years ago in a bargain bin and I attempted to play it on a PS1 emulator on my PC. Never got into it until I got my Raspberry Pi and set up RetroPie! Loving it!
So here's my question and hopefully this isn't against the rules since I legally own a copy of the game.
I'm at a point where I have to fight Cybil. I never got the red liquid and the earliest save I have in the .SRM file is beyond the point where I can go back and get it. Does anyone have a .SRM file where they've saved the game where I can get the red liquid? I really don't feel like starting over as I already have 9 hours logged into the game. This is my first time playing it as it was never released for PC or the original Xbox. In fact, my first SH game was SH2 on the XBox and it scared the living crap out of me! I also have SH3 and SH4 on the PC as well (wish RetroPie could do PS2 as my nephews have some old PS2 CDs lying around that I could use!)
Hopefully someone has a way to share a Silent Hill PS1 SRM file? Hopefully that's not illegal? Otherwise, I fear I'll have to start all over again and throw away the 9 hours I already put into the game. I've been trying not to use any FAQs to help but Cybil was the one that gave me fits and that's when I found out about the red liquid. Grrr!

@bolski Gamefaqs site has a few save files - https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps/198641-silent-hill/saves - maybe one of them might help you. They're
.gme
files, which you can convert to.srm
with a little utility - https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/gme-to-srm-(EN). -
