Has anyone had any experience of getting this working on the pi?
Is it possible? Love this game so much and it would be amazing to play this on the pi.

It looks like it's now in the realm of freeware according to the old wikipedia. I don't know about running it on pi but you could probably get it running on Windows.

Yeah I've successfully done that. Would just be amazing to get the pi running it - thought someone may have job of getting older windows games running ..

@Jste84 here is someone talking about running Windows 3.1 on Dosbox and then running a Windows 3.1 game on top of that. Not specifically retropie. I have not tried it and I won’t be trying it - a little too “Inception” for me to think it will actually work well/be worth my time. But have at it! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.howtogeek.com/230359/how-to-install-windows-3.1-in-dosbox-set-up-drivers-and-play-16-bit-games/amp/

Windows XP is a different beast, it won't run from Dosbox - like Win 3.1. The only 'emulator' (now that Exagear has vanished) capable of running Windows applications is Wine, but that's not going to run on a stock RetroPie or Raspbian image.
There was a topic last year with someone that managed to run Diablo through Wine - it needs a special kernel and the installation of the desktop to run. -
If someone has made a source port of the game and that specific source port can make use of SDL libs with support for building on ARM architecture, then maybe it could be possible to make a working scriptmodule for RetroPie. Take for example ioquake3 that works on our RetroPie.
It might require some work in adapting certain compiling options in order for successfully being able to compile on Raspberry Pi. Otherwise you could possibly emulate the game through Wine as @mitu has suggested.

Off-topic; this had me thinking about using cron for special jobs, like a championship mode on saturday. Other than swapping out the gamelist/sortmode I think it could make use of an API like Retroachievments that I have never used. As far as I know, cron and retroachievements are reliant on having an RTC/Internet.
You can play Championship manager 96/97 on amiga.
or premier manager 99. -
Thanks for all the posts on this, wish I had the knowledge to try and make this happen but I guess it's quite complicated...
Retropie is amazing enough, I should be happy with what I have at the moment👍
