Second screen displaying artwork
-
Hello RetroPie Forum!
I'm a long time user of RetroPie, but first time to this forum.
I have been looking into HyperMarquee for a potential arcade build for my business and I would like to utilise something similar on my next personal RetroPie project.
I am looking to build an arcade stick similar to a fight stick with a Pi built in and I was thinking of utilising the small screens that you can purchase for the Pi.
So, what am I thinking is when you are scrolling through the list of games then artwork for each game will appear on the small screen that will be built in to the arcade stick. Once the game loads then the artwork for the game will remain on the screen.
I have very little programming/development knowledge, but before I go and do some research etc I was wondering if anyone knows of any existing software (I can't find any) and/or if this would be easy to develop.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

[Oh sorry... I think I misunderstood your question... Maybe I need to improve my english. Keeping my answer anyway...]
@LGShepherd You can do something quite similar to what you want enabling the "Launch Menu Art" in runcommand.
You can find info about it here:

Thank you!
I'm thinking that I would add the artwork, enable that feature and then point it to the second screen. Am I right in thinking that some development would be required to enable the image to be permanently displayed?
Thanks again

Hey @LGShepherd . A guy named @obsidianspider did something similar to what you want. Look here:
