          Hi all,

          Came back to this site after some inactivity, and noticed I made this thread back then, which never got an answer.

          I would still be interested in official merchandise, especially a sticker for a casing, and a t-shirt. Does any official merch excist, or is it being planned at some point?

          @BillyH I have thought about this before but didn't get around to anything. It's not a bad idea though so will look into it.

          Hell let's take it one step further. Forget the sticker FOR a case... I'd buy a RetroPie CASE. :) My Super Kuma 9000 case is central to my classic setup (surrounded by actual NES, SNES and N64 hardware). My FLIRC case could easily be swapped for a RetroPie case in the entertainment center. I would love to show that baby off. :)

              @cyperghost @BuZz I would buy a t-shirt and some "powered by RetroPie" stickers :)

                Nice to see there's others interested in merch too :-)

                I suggested the sticker instead of the case because I felt like 1) it would be much easier to create and 2) there'd probably be many differnt opinions as to how a RetroPie case should look (how big should it be, what style, what material, what colours etc), while with stickers you can just as easily make a few different versions.

                That being said, a RetroPie case would definitely be cool, and I'd be interested in one too. I just figured stickers would be much easier to get done.

                  Well my thought process was - based on size - a sticker may cover vents. A case designed with the logo would incorporate the vents accordingly. :)

                    @ClassicGMR A right :-) I thought of people with regular cases, people with big self-made arcade cabinets... But I forgot that some might have gone the other way and not have enough room for a sticker. In that case, I'd say cut out the parts of the sticker that are over the vents.

                    Of course, the ideas don't have to be exclusive. Stickers can be made while a dedicated team tries to figure out how a RetroPie casing should/could look. RetroPie stickers actually already exist and are sold, though going by the post @BuZz gave here, I'm guessing those aren't official ones (which is exactly why I made this thread, I don't want some skimmer to get credit and my money for ripping off the RetroPie name).

                      I would be interested in stickers, posters, and t-shirts. A Retropie case isn't that interesting to me, since my Pi is hidden in my DIY upright cabinet, and apart from that I'm running Retropie on my mini PC and Laptop. But I do support the requests for a case anyway, because it's a cool idea. :)

                        Although, as being late to the party, here are my 0.02 £:

                        If you want to promote Retropie as project best is (IMHO) to wear a retro shirt of a popular (or your favorite) console/arcade game or brand. To this people can relate and it's easier to engage them in a conversation in which you can interweave the benefits of Retropie.

                        My personal experience is whenever I am on a social event with my Pac Man / Xevious / C64 / ... Shirt, people start asking me about my shirt.

                        To actually support the Retropie Project, either: spend them money (Patreon, Bitcoin, Paypal, aso.) (good), do testing and bugfixing, documentation (better), foster the codebase by feature extensions (best).

                        At the end of the day that's why the Raspberry was invented: To empower yourself by learning and doing stuff.

                        Plus: Preparing and merchandising Retropie specific stuff would use precious hours of the project owners, which -as a reminder- do the Retropie project as a hobby.

                        HTH
