Can't Remember The Name Of This Game

There was an old thread about remembering the names of old games but even the website suggested making a new thread about it. (Sorry if that's not what I was meant to do. I don't "forum" much.)
- PC Game
- 2000 to 2006ish
- Possibly was a Demo Disc
- Fantasy Adventure / Fantasy RPG
- 3D
- 3rd Person Camera
I remember an opening cutscene of someone being chased down a pathway with some trees around. I think the person gets hurt or killed by someone else and you (the main character) wake up in bed from the nightmare.
I remember the bed having red curtains around it and the bedroom looking very Hobbit-esque with it being cosy/cottage-like. Possibly bookshelves dotted around.
I think the main character had blue hair, was short and had a white shirt, brown shorts and gloves (similar to Fable).
The only other things I remember was a bit of gameplay (probably a tutorial room) where you used what I think was magic to get through a room of wooden boxes/crates.
(I was very young at the time so some details like colours and outfit may be just imagination).
