RetroAchievements Script for UN/Password

Apologies if this has already been solved elsewhere. I searched the forum and didn't find anything.
At current time, the only way to enter credentials for RA on the RetroPie is to edit the retroarch.cfg file. Fine for me since I know how to do that without breaking things. But I was wondering if there was a way to write a script for less-advanced users to run and be prompted for their username and password that then uses
sedto fill in the right blanks in the configuration file. I realize I may have to write it myself, but any ideas and suggestions are welcome. -
You can enter the RA info from the
RetroArchmenu in theRetroPiesystem (which starts the RetroArch RGUI) and then save the configuration, it will be applied to all Libretro emulator cores. -
Last time I tried, I couldn't get either a controller or a keyboard to work with RGUI. I'll try again. Thanks.
