After 6 long years of wanting to tackle this project, I finally decided to pull the trigger after realizing I probably had enough scraps laying around to make it happen.
All said and done, I'm super happy for my first project. That said, I wish I used a template when I cut the sides and did the overall size of the unit. I did the cut lines free hand, and based the overall dimensions of the cabinet on the size of the monitor. It inevitably worked out, but the button layout is a bit cramped. I also originally was only planning on 6 buttons per player, but at the last minute decided to do all 8.

I did all of the artwork, though, truth be told I used inspiration from online.
I also have NES & SNES controllers that I'm still working on getting to work per emulator. I'm actually probably going to post in the 'Help' forum later tonight as I can't quite seem to get it no matter how many posts/tutorials I read.

Very well made. Did you use plexiglass with the marquee artwork? Also how did you attach it to the machine?

@Zigurana thanks! We were going for something fun & cheesey while still maintaining an 80s feel.

@Brigane thank you! Yes. In the second to last photo you can see the plexiglass with its protective film (blue). The vinyl was super thin, so once attached to the plexi, all of the LEDs (the strip) I installed in that cavity really shine through.
I used a combination of hot glue & an epoxy-type glue. The small amount of hot glue was more to hold in place while the epoxy-type glue made the permanent bond.

@meleu thanks! I actually only have MKII which is MAME, libretro. Haven't started my full library yet. ;)
