Hi! This is my first contribution, so please kindly correct me if I do something wrong.

In Emulation Station, I made some custom backgrounds for custom collections such as "Zelda", "Mario" and "Megaman". They can be used as "platforms" so they show up on the main caroussel instead of just being subfolders of the collection section.

It is not properly a new theme, but can be added as platforms in an existing theme by just copying the folders in a theme an creating a custom collection of the same name.

Could this interest other people? Where could I distribute the files, since it is not properly a theme?

      Here are some screenshots:

If you just uploaded them here in the topic, then people can download them - I guess providing some instructions on where to copy them or what theme files need to be modified would be useful to get users to use them in their setups.

Thanks for the positive comments! I uploaded the files in a github repository:

            https://github.com/JungleJim42/es-theme-collections

They will work as-is (only copy them to your theme folder) with the Nostalgic ES-theme by Supermagicom. For other ES-themes, you will need to fiddle with the xml files a bit.
