When I was a kid, about 11 or 12 years of age, my local shop that used to be on my route to school had 2 arcade cabinets. The year would have been around 1992 ish, and we would spend our lunch money on the games before going to school! The first cabinet was WWF Wrestle Fest. An utter classic that I have been playing non stop nearly for a week as its bringing back so many good memories of my youth.

The second cabinet is where I need your help. I can describe it a little bit and hoping some of you pro-MAME users will hopefully identify the game so I can download it and relive more memories! Its a brawler game like Turtles in Time and Golden Axe. There was a very annoying boss / end level character called either 'Yamato' or 'Yamamoto' or something of that ilk who wielded a large sword and would cut you in half if you got in the way. This would immediately take one life. If anyone has any vague ideas of what the game could be then please help me! Longing to play this again!

      Many thanks!

Sounds like a lot of games. Possibly China Gate? There is a thread somewhere dedicated to trying to remember old games, try asking on that one.

        EDIT: Found the thread https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/9125/post-here-if-you-can-t-remember-the-name-of-a-game

System Config: Retropie 4.4 with full desktop, RPi 3B, 256gb SD, 5v 2.1A 5,200 mAH USB battery. EasyMSX controller mounted with Pimoroni Hyperpixel 4 (non touch). Also running 4.6 on a 4gb Pi 4 serving as my primary desktop computer now.
