I'm using the lr-handy emulator trying to "unpause" the game Block Out.

With other Lynx games, pressing Start will pause the game, and pressing Start again will resume the game. With Block Out, I can't seem to "unpause" the game. Is this a known thing? Can anyone else here confirm that they also have this issue?

Wow. I just tried it, same issue here. Interesting indeed. Seems to be the only game like this so far.

I just tested with lr-beetle-lynx and the behavior is the same. Start+L flips the screen and start+R goes back to main menu but start by itself will not resume the current game.

Thanks for testing. I'm guessing it's just the game that's programmed poorly. Until I get it on an actual Lynx I won't know for certain.

For some reason, I thought I owned this cart, but I checked my collection and I don't have it. I think I recall playing this game on the Lynx because it used to be on demo in an electronics store.

I poked around a bit more on this and noticed this behavior persists also in Mednafen running in Windows. I opened a ticket with the Mednafen as a bug since I believe this core is base off that. I tested out the old Handy emulator and did not see the issue there.
