This is just a suggestion, but what if retro pie had playstation games on emulation station for the raspberry pi ? I have games working on the 3b+from a usb stick working just fine. Why not add it without needing the usb?

You don't need an USB to play any game in RetroPie, though you can use optionally use an USB stick it to transfer games or an USB Stick/Disc to keep your games there.

Transferring games/roms to RetroPie will copy them locally on the SDcard - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Transferring-Roms/.

Well I was technically asking if it would automatically be on the emulation station, but in your defense I didn't make that very clear.

@Unknown I don't understand - EmulationStation is the front-end used by RetroPie, it just shows what game you have in the games' folders. The games (or ROMs) need to be transferred to RetroPie in order to show up there. We don't include any games in the image and that's on purpose - are you asking to distribute games with the RetroPie image ?

@mitu I will be completely honest, I thought that retro pie emulationstation had games installed on it when you download it. I got a card with games already loaded on it as a gift. Does retro pie add systems with updates or do you add them yourself? I'm obviously new here.

Then you should start with https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/.
