@thedudester80 do I need anything else besides the screen to connect it to the Pi?
        Thanks

@Brigane You will need this decoder to make it work. Adafruit has a tutorial on how to program the screen to work. You will also need an HDMI cable to connect the decoder to the pi.

@thedudester80 I know, it's just that this one seems a bit different from the others around amazon.
I though about using one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aluminum-Holder-Flight-Briefcase-Backing/dp/B00MEDMD38/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1473851478&sr=8-3&keywords=aluminium+tool+holder+box+case
It might be to small though.
                    What do you think?

@Brigane I would compare dimensions of the arcade buttons and the case that you plan on using. Those arcade buttons are a bit lengthy sometimes. For my project I had to bend the prongs outward so everything fit inside correctly. If the buttons are to long you wont be able to fit the Pi and other components inside. Basically the shorter the buttons the better. The Joystick is also a pain. It would get stuck on the surface of the case and didn't have smooth movement. So to fix that I cut a small pocket just deep enough for the joystick to move freely. As for your case when you take out the padding cover the inside with electrical tape so you short anything out. I did that when I made my Altoid tin game device.... But yeah I think the case would be great it just depends on how deep those arcade buttons sit. =] Also if you are curious about what I did with some of the wood work I made this for fun just to kind of document what I was trying to do with this project.

@thedudester80 Nice video, I will definitely use your advising in my project. When making the holes for the buttons I thought about printing one of these http://slagcoin.com/joystick/layout/incline36_s.png but you did it quite well without it :)

@Brigane Yeah I wish I had a 3d printer, let alone tools to do a proper job on the wood work lol. If you have any more questions or need anything else you know where to find me. Good luck friend.

@thedudester80 Thanks, I really appreciate it, and sorry about all the questions. Are there any specific reason why you didn't used the GPIO on the Pi to connect the buttons?

@Brigane Yeah I found a usb encoder was easier than soldering up gpio pins and programming the pi to recognize the button presses. The encoder automatically worked with emulation station.
