I would like to know if it possible to connect 2 players (I mean 2 joysticks + 10 arcade buttons) directly to the raspberry pi without the ipac 2?

      thanks.

So why should I buy the ipac 2? What are the advantages of the ipac 2?

@oron I have one. The advantage is that it is plug and play. I have seen the other method working and it saves you £30. It is however potentially more difficult as it requires more knowledge of linux and the command line.

Just to mention it here as well :-) The ControlBlock allows to directly connect arcade controls (which are mapped to gamepads) for two players as well as a power switch functionality to safely switch on and off the raspberry pi.
