New Comic Book Theme!
-
@duglor I dont think so :-(
-
Not downloadable from within retropie, but i have been trying to keep this fork up to date with changes in this thread:
https://github.com/dale-personal/es-theme-ComicBook
Also, I just added support for marquees. If your game lists have the marquee tag, you should see the image in place of the system banner logo.
-
Are you willing to make a PR so the theme is included in the es-themes ?
-
If i get some time its something i can look into it. I'm not sure how it would be received to include a derivative work when the original comic book theme is out there as well.
-
@koda9901 Have you tried submitting your changes to the original theme ?
-
@3Draco I like your stuff you have been making.
Have you tried to give the letters sharp edges as opposed to the round edges like how TMNTurtleguy's images? -
I have not. I'm actually working on a fork of https://github.com/Zenjir0/es-theme-ComicBook by @Zenjiro in this forum, which is described as a hard fork of https://github.com/TMNTturtleguy/es-theme-ComicBook by @TMNTturtlguy
-
@koda9901 Right it is a hard fork. The reason I did it was because the images were a low resolution and did not look good on modern systems. Really I would like for it to be more of a "Community Edition" where everyone can contribute to it. So calling it Comicbook-CE or something like that.
-
@Zenjiro Yes, i know how he made the sharp edges but i dont have AI, on the other hand im also not good using Illustrator.
-
@3Draco Feel free to message me on Discord if you want to collaborate. And I do have a tutorial on how to do it without Illustrator. Silent Tutorial Step by step is above here.

@3Draco Has a Hypseus-Singe been made? I'm sure it has...the one that used to be Daphne. I can't find it.
It plays Dragon's Lair and Maddog McCree and such.?? If for some very odd reason it hasn't, then i request it be made by anyone. Draco, you need relaxation. I'm just trying to find it as I could have sworn that it was in this thread.

I have a AtGames Legends Ultimate cabinet I'm putting the RCade / Legends Unchained software on, which is largely just an Emulation Station setup. RCade can emulate over 100 systems (as can most things based on RetroArch). I wanted to find a nice looking theme that had sections for most every system and landed on this.
I see some people mention a tutorial video but this thread is very long and I'm not sure where it is. I don't know how to make the stylized system logos in the specific font and effects for this theme.
I'm willing to help out myself if I know how, or if someone else wants to tackle some of these:
