      Mobygames has a very good games database; as Vic20 is not supported by retropie scrapers I made a small program to do this job.
      Just wondering if it could be of interest of other retropie users.

      It's in excel VBA... I know ...it's not exactly the most trendy programming language ...but it was the easiest way to do it (and you get your local DB in excel format).
      Scraping speed is ok of and, at this stage, functionality quite basic: the crawler retrieves main data (name, description, year, publisher, developer) , downloads corresponding cover images and creates ES format xml file.
      Currently vic20 specific but it can be easily modified to make it scrape other systems.

      Note: scraping their site is allowed by mobygames as they stated in a forum post.
