      @drumminhands

I think the Io theme has Large, Medium and Small screen options but I've never used it before.

Also this thread was discussing this as well:

Yeah, I made PixelTFT and MiniLumi for people using smaller screens. PixelTFT only shows one game name at a time, while MiniLumi shows, what, 4? Depends on your resolution. ES text scaling is odd. I use PixelTFT on my Nomad build. MiniLumi was made more for other people than for myself.

I like the big text from the IO theme: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3853/io-new-theme
(but not tested in such a small screen)

Would you mind to show us a picture of RetroPie being shown on this old CRT TV? Just for curiosity. :-)

Thank you very much. I will try some of these themes later this week. And below are some photos of the current, default installation.

You're not kidding! I can't read a single name on that list! You'd have to scrape some game art before you could tell what game you wanted to play only by the pictures!

In my storage I have a little black & white travel TV about that size but never thought of running RetroPie on it.

@drumminhands do you have a model number for that tv? Looks cool. Is it a flatscreen? Or does it just look that way?

@edmaul69 It's a Magnavox Perfect View CK2923. Definitely not a flat screen. It's a portable CRT tv from the mid 80s. Hey, if your going retro, go retro.

@edmaul69 so you put an LCD screen inside of that TV?

@backstander @backstander yup. I had to dremel and file the curve out of the front of the tv. It is a 19" monitor with a digital tv tuner connected inside with an hdmi to vga adapter. Then there is an hdmi to dvi adapter that is on an hdmi port in the back of the tv. The nes pi attaches to the hdmi port in the back.

@edmaul69 that is pretty sweet if you ask me! My mom had an old large RCA TV with built in swivel that finally died about 7-8 years ago. This would've been a great project for it but we just tossed it in the dumpster. I kind of miss being able to set your game consoles on top of your TV haha.

It looked kind of like this one I found on eBay:

@backstander we were hoping to find one like that. But this one we found for $5 so it worked out. The antenna is an rca digital antenna. We bought it specifically because of the name and look. Rca is the first to make a tv and would have been great. We settled for fake woodgrain but it had to have the woodgrain look.

Thanks for input on replacing the screen, but I like using the old screen. When I want a flat screen, I'll make it a much smaller form factor.

I ended up just making my own theme. Thanks for the amazing tutorial/wiki on theme making.

Download my new theme BIG here.

As you can see, the text is very BIG, uses a simple design, and is easy to read on the super tiny screen.

@drumminhands if you want you can remove the options junk on the bottom to add a couple more games if you want. The bottom does not require a picture file (.jpg, .png, .svg) that makes the color bar.
